Play Black Wall Street (PBWS) is launching our inaugural Certified Game Master Program, and we're looking for passionate individuals who want to inspire students while developing their own leadership skills.

If you're a recent college graduate, currently pursuing an MBA or Master's in Education, or preparing for a career in education, entrepreneurship, or youth development, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Why We Created the Game Master Program

Learning should be a fun experience but for many students it has become boring and routine. We are working to change that and need your help. The Certified PBWS Game Master Program was created to build a new generation of culturally responsive facilitators who are prepared to lead meaningful and interactive educational experiences in schools and communities.

Our mission is to:

• Train culturally responsive facilitators

• Expand PBWS experiences into schools across California

• Develop future educators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders

• Build a team that represents Black excellence, professionalism, enthusiasm, and inspiration

• Make learning fun for students across California

We're not simply hiring facilitators, we're investing  our time and expertise in future leaders.

A Game Master doesn't simply explain the rules. They create energy in the room, encourage critical thinking, spark meaningful conversations, and help students connect historical lessons to real-world opportunities.

What You'll Do

As a Certified PBWS Game Master, you'll help bring transformational learning experiences to students throughout California.

Your responsibilities include:

• Facilitating engaging PBWS educational game experiences

• Mentoring and motivating students

• Leading conversations about entrepreneurship, leadership, and financial literacy

• Encouraging teamwork, confidence, and critical thinking

• Representing Play Black Wall Street professionally at schools, community organizations, and special events

Every event is an opportunity to help students see new possibilities for themselves and their futures.

Professional Development That Matters

The Game Master Program is designed to help you grow personally and professionally.

Through certification, you'll strengthen valuable skills such as:

• Public speaking

• Classroom facilitation

• Leadership

• Communication

• Professional presentation

Whether your future includes education, nonprofit leadership, corporate training, entrepreneurship, or public service, these experiences will help prepare you for success.

Certification Costs

The full Game Master Certification Program is $250 and will last 2 years. Full scholarships available.

Scholarship Opportunities

Limited scholarships are available for qualified applicants who receive a recommendation from:

• A mentor

• An Umoja counselor or coordinator

• A Black Student Union (BSU) advisor

• A supervisor or professional colleague

Our goal is to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent outstanding future leaders from participating.

Earning Potential

As a Certified PBWS Game Master you will have the opporunity to earn $300 - $600 per game session you faciliate. Game sessions typically run 90 minutes long and require 15 minutes to set up and break down. This means you can earn $300 - $600 for only 2 hours of work. We book the game sessions and you show up ready to make an impact.
