What is an NFT? (Rose and Rodney NFT Collection)
NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token and is one of many applications of blockchain technology in the marketplace. NFTs are used widely as digital forms or authentication and/or ownership.

If you have been anywhere on the internet you have probably seen the word NFT being posted and tweeted. Are you Wondering what that is? An NFT , non-fungible token (NFT), is a digital asset who's ownership can be validated on the Blockchain. Notable use NFTs are artwork, music, films, and even tweets.
Non-fungible tokens are called NFTs. There are some similarities to cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum in terms of programming, but that's about it. A "fungible" asset is one that can be swapped or exchanged for another one. Non-fungible tokens can not be duplicated or exchanged. This is what makes them valuable and perfect for collectors. NFTs can be purchased using cryptocurrency.
How Do you purchase an NFT on OpenSea?
The most popular NFT marketplace for buyers and sellers is OpenSea. OpenSea is the market leader in NFT sales. In terms of Crypto-related collectibles, it is the world's largest marketplace. Signing up and browsing the huge range of digital content on OpenSea's platform is absolutely free. It makes it easy for artists and designers to mint their own NFTs. The marketplace supports more than 150 different types of payment tokens. You can upload and mint your own NFTs without any knowledge of coding. If you do know how to code you can add more features and control to your projects. Purchasing on Opensea is also simple once you have a crypto wallet connected.

Here’s what you need to do:
1.Get a wallet app for your phone. One of the most popular choices are the Metamask and Coinbase Wallet. (Note that there are still other wallet options you can use for cryptocurrency)
2.Register for a new account. Depending on the platform you're using, you'll have to enter different personal information. Some apps ask for a lot of personal information, while others merely ask for an email. Be sure to remember your password information.
3.Use the 12-word phrase that the app will provide, write down your private key somewhere secure. If you lose your 12-digit number key you won't be able to use nor access your crypto again. Cryptos are what we use to purchase NFT’s. Cryptos are also used for digital trading but that’s another topic for us to discuss.
4.Transfer crypto to the wallet. You should be able to buy crypto with euros or dollars. Some wallets, however, require you to transfer funds elsewhere.
First, you need to buy ETH (Ethereum). Buy NFTs on OpenSea with this coin. What you need to do is:
Now log in to your Coinbaseor Metamask account using your login details.
Click the “Buy/Sell” button and choose “Ethereum.” Since ETH is the common cryptocurrency that is often traded to buy an NFT with.
To complete your purchase, pick “Buy Now” from the “Preview Buy” menu
Your ETH should reflect within a couple of days
Now go to your wallet account and copy the address.
Once your crypto wallet is all set up you can now start buying NFT’s!
- Go to your browser and type in OpenSea
- Click the wallet icon (Coinbase, Metamask, or another crypto wallet) in the upper-right corner of your screen with the wallet icon. It should now ask you to link your wallet. It's as simple as that.
- The app will now take you to your profile page finish setting it up along with linking your wallet
- Look for the NFT’s you want to purchase
- Review the items before pressing the buy button
- Confirm your purchase
- When transactions are all cleared and reviewed or double-checked by you proceed to checkout
- The ETH price of the NFT you’ve purchased will be deducted from our crypto wallet balance.
- You are now an NFT Collector!
